The ICR (Interactive Computer Response), more commonly known as Kiosk, differs from traditional shop surveys as it doesn't require shoppers to log in to complete them.
As a result, Kiosk shops are assigned to a *kioskShopper account rather than an individual person.
Keep in mind that RuleZ don't work with Kiosk shops. If you need to use RuleZ, please check out Kiosk Plus shops!
Once you have the Kiosk functionality enabled for your survey, head to the main Admin Page.
Select a client, head to the Clients tab and use the ICR/Kiosk Links link in the Config column, or simply use the Quick Jump bar!
Generating Links
The Kiosk Admin interface allows you to configure some of the settings before you create Kiosk links.
If you decide to use the Level/Location dropdown, you will be able to choose not only from the Levels your Client has set up, but also from groups and Unlimited Location Groups.
If you need to generate links for specific locations, make sure you use the Location IDs you can easily get from the Location Administration page.
The Link Type dropdown lets you select between two display options:
- encoded links which are shorter (and more suitable for an e-mail), and
- text links which are longer (and more suitable for print).
Using the View button will display the list of links on your screen.
Using the Export button will generate an Excel file with the links for you. Once the page loads, simply use the HERE button to get your file.
Using the Options button will open a new subsection of the Kiosk Admin, allowing you to send the links to managers and configure the e-mail options.
Keep in mind that while a level 1 manager will receive an email with a link, level 2 and higher managers will receive an Excel spreadsheet containing all the relevant links. Both the link and the Excel attachment will be automatically included in the body of the email.
Once you are content with your settings, simply hit the Send Links button to deliver the links to your selected managers!
Using links
After the links are generated, using one will create a new Kiosk shop. Each Kiosk shop will be assigned to a *KioskShopper and not an individual shopper. Unlike regular mystery shops, Kiosk shoppers do not need to log in to complete their tasks.
There are two buttons available to the shopper at the end of the Kiosk survey.
Using the Save & Continue button will save the shop, but it will not submit it. Since the Kiosk Shopper is not logged in, if they leave the shop, they will not be able to go back to finish it.
If you require a shopper to be able to go back to the shop at a later date, you can submit a Support Tracker and request a customization that will let the shopper enter their e-mail address to get a link emailed to them. With that link, they will be able to come back to the Kiosk Shop later on.
Using the Complete Survey & Submit button will submit the shop.
Triggers
You can enable and disable Manager Triggers, PDF triggers and Score Triggers in the ICRD/Kiosk Mode Settings section of the survey settings.
To customize which managers will end up receiving the triggers, you will need to have the trigger type enabled and then head to the appropriate Manager/PDF or Score trigger section of the survey settings.
Display
In the Survey settings, you can find a few display customization options for your Kiosk shops.
If you have enabled CSS for Kiosk surveys, you can choose from a selection of pre-made themes to style your shop.
In the same time, the Form Color setting in the "Display" section will influence the headers of your Kiosk shop, and any HTML formatting you might have added to the Question Text in the Question List will also be displayed.
Don't forget about the Sticky Notes!
ICRD
If you need a more personalized look and feel for your Kiosk shops, you can further customize it with an ICRD (Interactive Computer Response Deluxe)!
To get started, open a Support Tracker and request our assistance.
Here are some customization options we can set up for you:
- Custom web address for the survey (e.g. sassieshop.com/go/survey/your_survey_name.com),
- Colours and logo,
- Verification code as an optional feature that can help prevent survey fraud by requiring a unique verification code (printed on receipts or mailings),
- Branch and skipping patterns which allow shopper answers to determine which questions are shown later in the survey.
