Waves are a way to group shops based on certain attributes. They are used for both scheduling and reporting purposes!
For an example, you could group shops based on whether it is a weekend or a weekday shop.
For scheduling purposes, this allows you to explain to the shopper which assignment scenario they should follow.
For reporting purposes, this allows your client to see how their locations are performing under different scenarios.
To get to the Wave Manager page, get started on the main Admin Page.
Select a client and use the Scheduler button on the top right of your screen to reach the main Scheduler Page, or simply use the Quick Jump bar!
If the Waves functionality is missing from your system, put in a Support Tracker so we can enable it for you!
With the Client selected, the Wave Manager page offers three possibilities.
Show Waves button will list all the waves you have for the selected Client.
The page list the date the wave is created, its name, how many sessions it has been used in, and how many shops are in the wave.
The sessions link will open the details of the wave you clicked on, displaying information about the session it has been used at.
Quite similarly, the shops link will list all the shops that have been done as a part of the selected wave.
Using the edit link at any given point will open the Edit Wave page, allowing you to edit the name and the description of the wave. While the name is required, the description is optional.
To open a similar page, click the Add New Wave on the main Wave Manager page; there you can add, instead of edit, a new wave.
Keep in mind that you can only Delete a Wave if it has no shops assigned to it!
The last button on the main Wave Manager page allows you to reassign shops.
While the client is preselected, you will need to specify the survey you want to reassign shops for. You can also leave it at 'All'.
If you leave the selector at Change all shops in this date range and use the GO button, the page will let you know just a number of shops that have been reassigned from one (or no wave) to your desired one.
However, if you move the selector to Change specific shops in this date range, there are quite a bit of options you can choose from to list the moved shops.
Using the GO button will open a new page, allowing you to specify which shops exactly you want reassigned.
Simply mark the checkbox on the wanted shops and use the GO button again.
