Locked status of the shops is often misunderstood.
All the locked status does, is prevents responses or scores from being recalculated.
While this might sound like the exact thing you need, a shop in the locked status can have their status changed to another status at any time, and the score you were trying to preserve might get recalculated.
Additionally, if changes are made without proper versioning, Dragon Dashboard and individual shop views might not work properly! Before making any changes on the form, please read through the Updating Questions help article!
Certain, on the fly, calculations the system does will still go through, even though the shop is in the locked status!
Some Chameleon and Dragon Shop View widgets will display updated scores immediately, regardless of the shop's status or whether it has been recalculated.
What locking shops will not do:
- completely preserve the shop's scoring
- preserve past scoring
- preserve question text
- preserve answer options
Please look into Smartforming and Form Versioning by Date instead!
