With Sassie's Location Importer, you can easily add multiple client locations. The pre-designed template field enters all your client data. It's easy to upload and with a few more clicks, multiple client locations are directly imported into your system.

The Location Importer requires you to use the Bulk Location Importer Template to prepare the file and save it as a tab-delimited text file. There is a tutorial on saving as a tab-delimited text file if you have any questions. To get a copy of the Location Template:

Once you have prepared your location import file, select your client and survey and then go to the Loc Admin page.

This is the page that manages locations in Sassie. The import/export dropdown gives you a number of options for managing your locations including Importing Bulk Locations. Selecting the Bulk Location Importer from the Import/Export dropdown menu will take you to a wizard that will walk you through importing new locations for your clients.  Note: If this option is greyed out in the menu for you, enter a support tracker asking that the Location Import permission be added to your account.

From the import/export dropdown, select Bulk Location Import and click GO.

Now click on Choose File and select the location file you saved as a tab-delimited text file, then click Open.

Next click the Upload Tab-Delimited Locations file button.

Prior to the file import, you can select the following import options:

  • Check the first box if you would like to see if a manager's email address appears in more than one level.
  • Check the second box to look for non-hierarchy (for example, one of your client's locations is assigned to a district that falls under two separate regions).

These are optional checks. You can proceed to the import page by clicking the continue button.

The file is now ready for import and Sassie displays a preview of the file so that you can double-check that all of the locations look correct. When you are ready to continue, click the checkbox at the bottom, and then click the import locations button.

Your locations have now been imported. At this point you can return to the admin page or start another import to add more locations.
