There are multiple approaches for handling different languages within the system, each suited to various translation needs.

There are three areas that can be translated in Sassie: questions and answers on the survey, core pages and custom pages. Custom pages can be created as a result of a custom project, or a custom template.

If your focus is on translating survey questions, or you require a few different question display options, Global Question Sets combined with the Alternate Question Sets are the right tools or you.

For any custom translations, you will need to request our help by opening a Support Tracker!

However, for text related to our standard core features, such as reports, shopper profiles, and Dragon widgets, you will need to use LangCentral.

LangCentral is a portal where your team can add translated text for our core features.

When you're done translating, the system will take text that you've entered and make it available for managers or shoppers who have picked that language.

Keep in mind that any string that have not been translated will be displayed in English!

First, the language you want to work on will need to be added to your system.

Simply open a Support Tracker and request the language. We will reach out with a username, password, and a link for you to use them at.

Once logged in, you will be presented the strings that can be translated, as well as few simple functionalities designed to make your translating easier!

The top right of the page displays the language you are translating, and once you have made some progress on the language, the Only show missing translations checkbox will come in handy!

When you first start working on the language, text fields on both sides will have the English strings. Simply edit the right-sided text box with the translated text.

Strings in the {curly brackets} are variables, and those are words you will most likely not want to change.

For an example, English "{SYSTEM_NAME} home page" would translate to Danish "{SYSTEM_NAME} Hjemmeside".

Use the Finished Translating? button once you are done.

If you want to simply review the translations you made on the LangCentral server, hit the Update LangCentral button. Within an hour, the LangCentral server will be updated with the strings in the editor, and you can look them over.

If you are completely done and want the updates published, reach out to the support and let us know! Keep in mind that publishing the translation will disable further editing, and you will need to request a new password when you will want to work on the language again.
