Circuits are a way to group your locations to be able to use them in AutoScheduling - in other words, jobs on different locations can be scheduled as one when they are a part of a circle!
Get started at the main Admin Page.
Select a client and a survey, and then you can either head to the Clients tab and use the Add/Edit Locations link, or simply use the Quick Jump bar!
On the Location Administration page, select Unlimited Location Groups option from the Levels & Groups dropdown and hit the GO button.
How does it work?
You can have as many circuit sets as required, and each set can contain multiple circuits. However, a location can only be assigned to one circuit within each set.
That said, the same location can appear in circuits from different circuit sets.
Add a Circuit Set
To add a new circuit, simply use the add CIRCUIT SET button.
Make sure to add a descriptive name to your Circuit set.
Once satisfied, proceed by using the Add New Set button.
Add a Circuit
Once the circuit set has been added, you will want to add a circuit to it. You can either press the add CIRCUIT button, or Add New Circuit to this Set button.
Again, make sure the name of the circuit is descriptive!
And simply use the Add New Circuit button to confirm your choice.
Add Locations to Circuit
Once you have the Circuit Set and the Circuit in place, it's time to add some locations to it!
Ensure you are in the right Circuit Set, and the right Circuit, and use the Add Locations to Circuit button.
A new window with the location selector will open, allowing you to select the desired locations through several methods.
Use the Go and Done buttons to go through the wizard and confirm your choices.
Once the location selector window closes, the Circuit page will display all the locations in the selected Circuit.
A location can only belong to one Circuit in a Circuit Set!
In the example, both Comedies and Thrillers Circuits are a part of the Action movies Circuit set. The Comedies set has locations 3 and 5, while the Thrillers set has locations 1 and 2.
If we created a new circuit, Dramas, and attempted to add a location that is already in a circuit that is a part of the Action movies set, the page would let you know that the location has already been assigned somewhere else.
You could, however, easily move the Location 1 from the Thrillers circuit into the Dramas circuit!
