The first step the Scheduler Wizard will help you through is Session Settings.

We advise making the Session Name descriptive and unique!

Advanced Settings

There are three main options in this section you can choose from.

Make these Self-Assign shops

  • If you want to limit the number of shops shopper can self-assign per session, simply input the number in the offered field.

Require Shopper Pick date

Using this option is a good way that you can make the shopper tell you which day, between the Session's start date and due dates, they expect to do the shop. If you select Require Shopper Pick Date, they will have to select a date in order to apply for the shop.

You can also limit the shopper assignment per survey, or even per the whole client.

There are three suboptions, through which you can ensure that the shopper gets the right amount of shops, in the exact time limit you need.

  1. Limit Assignment by Shopper
    • You can prevent the shopper from picking up more than x amount of shops per day.
      • For an example: If you want to allow only 5 shops per day, you would enter the number 5 in the field. The shopper will be able to assign themselves shops in any other day, regardless of the day of the selected shops, up to 5 overall shops.
    • Prevent the shopper from being assigned a shop y days before or after an already assigned shop.
      • For an example: if a shopper has assigned a shop on the 10th of May, and you don't want that shopper to do any shops within 3 days of that shop, enter the number 3 in this box. This will restrict the shopper from assigning a new shop between the 7th and 13th of May.
  2. Limit Assignment by Location
    • Quite similar to limiting the shoppers, you can limit the location to be assigned only x amount per day.
      • For an example: if you want a location to have only 4 shops done in a day, you would input the number 4 in the field.
    • On the same note, if you want a location to not have assigned shops within y amount of days from an already assigned shop, simply enter a number in the offered field.
      • For an example: if a location has a shop assigned on the 20th of June, and you want to prevent any other shops done 2 days before, or after, that date, you would enter number 2 in the field. This means that no shops can be assigned between 18th and 22nd of June.
  3. Adjust Start and Submit Due Date
    • The suboptions here allow you to decide will, and how, the Start and Due Date will be adjusted.
    • Additionally, you can use the Restrict by Day of the Week option to manually select which days are allowed.

These restrictions can be used simultaneously with one another, but be careful not to make buffers too restrictive, or you may not be able to fill your shops.

Make Jobs in Session Locationless

  • Locationless Jobs do not restrict potential shoppers based on proximity to a physical location; however, you can choose to limit them by country if desired.

The 'Locationless' setting can be selected only when creating a new session! After the session is created, this setting cannot be updated.

If you are using Waves, you can simply input the name of the new Wave you would like to use, select one already used, or use the Manage Waves link to open a Wave admin interface.

A Wave can include many sessions, including those involving other surveys for the same client!

The only required field in the Date Selection section is the Due Date (the last day the shopper is allowed to perform the shop). The year will be filled in automatically.

The Submit Due Date field informs the shopper when their completed shop should be submitted by, and the Start Date prevents shoppers from starting a shop ahead of time.

If you are not feeling lenient, you can leave the Reporting Date field empty, and it will default to the Due Date.

The Shopper Pay and Shop Expenses fields will automatically populate with the values set in the Survey Settings. If no data was entered there, the fields will remain empty.

This autofill applies only to values from the Survey Settings! Any expenses set in the Client Settings will not carry over during session creation.

The expenses entered here will override expense limits set in the Survey Settings!

The second-to-last section of the interface lets you enter time-related details, such as specific hours and days of the week, along with shop comments.

Sassie does not enforce these settings - they are provided purely as reference for the shopper.

Lastly, the Shopper Session Question allows you to enter a question for your shopper. Schedulers will be able to see the answer to the question when they are choosing among the shoppers who applied for each shop.

For an example, if you require your shoppers to be extra mobile, you could ask "Do you own a car?". Keep in mind that there is no way for Sassie to reinforce this, either. This is strictly a field designed to help your Schedulers to select a perfect shopper for your needs!

Once you are satisfied with the selection, hit the Save Settings button on the bottom of the page.

Use the Next button to move forward with the Session creation, or Cancel Session one if you do not want to proceed.
